2012 Jun 29, Breakfast Forum: Asia Pacific Property Markets Update - Right-shoring your portfolio: optimizing location, labor, and business efficiency

Thursday 29th June - 7:45am to 10:00am

Right-shoring your portfolio, or the optimal configuration of workplace and personnel, is a key boardroom agenda item for many multi-national firms, creating ample opportunity for Asia Pacific CRE practitioners to evaluate emerging destinations as they balance cost and efficiency factors. Many firms are reviewing their current operations and broadly assessing ways to rationalize headcount with their real estate holdings. Though obvious advantages such as market and labor cost arbitrage are gradually diminishing, many companies are taking a long-term approach to these emerging markets for opportunities.

We’re delighted and honored to have our guest speaker – Nick Axford (Head of Asia Research, CBRE) to present to the CoreNet chapter. During this event, Nick will cover office market overviews in the second half of 2012 while focusing on some emerging BPO markets in the region. Nick will also provide some insights, from an occupier perspective, on how companies are optimizing location, labor and business efficiency through right-shoring their respective portfolios.

Nick, in his role as the Head of Research for the Asia Pacific region at CBRE, has coordinated a lot of research activities across the region, which includes India, Greater China, South East Asia, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. He and his team also possess a thorough understanding of occupiers’ considerations through extensive research and consultancy work with many multi-national firms.
